Play Equipment for life.

This claim means a lot to us. It defines the way we build playgrounds and the way we think.

Our playgrounds are made for generations. They are built to last forever and bring movement to our kids and their kids and at the same time
also addressing sustainability in the interests of future generations. To achieve an optimum of sustainability, playgrounds have to be long lasting investments. We make our play structures last for decades, which makes replacements less necessary and thus saves resources. A large percentage of our playgrounds, installed before 1980 are still in use, still safe, still fun to play on.

Berliner Seilfabrik uses Aluminum made from 85% recycled pre-and post consumer material. The steel we use to build our durable playgrounds is made from 70% post consumer recycled steel.  Our production has been PVC free for more than a decade.

We take every step in the cradle-to-grave model serious and make sure that the total carbon footprint of our products is as small as possible. Over 90% of our products and materials are recyclable and we give all of our metal and HDPE waste back to the recycling process. Our state-of–the-art powder coating process works solvent-free.

Our new built highly insulated production and office facility uses renewable energy, the whole building is energy efficient lighting equipped. The warm/cold ground under the production uses a counter-flow heat exchanger for cooling/heating of the offices. To reduce water usage, we collect all rainwater in a reservoir to water the plants.

All of our products meet or exceed the regulations for lead in paint, in substrate and in Phthalates to protect both: Our kids and the environment.
